Thank You, Drachmen Fest! A Time Capsule for Everyone Who Was There – and Everyone Who Will Come Next Time

On Tuesday, 29.09.2026, we turned back the clock on Arndtstraße – and you turned it back with us. Live music, 1960 prices and a form of payment that hasn't been seen at a cash register for almost 25 years. The Drachmen Fest was a success, and you made it one. So first and from the bottom of our hearts: thank you.

The Drachmas Are Still Out There

Almost 25 years after the end of the drachma, many of you still had some: in drawers, in old wallets, tucked between holiday photos. And a few of you actually paid for your whole menu with drachmas alone. That isn't a money game, it's a small miracle: things tied to memories don't get thrown away. Above all, it was an evening full of fun.

Thank you for coming, clapping along, singing along and sharing with us – plates, table and time. An evening lives from the people sitting in it. You were the evening.

Thank you to you too: for the messages, the good wishes and the fingers you crossed. We missed you – and we know life sometimes gets in the way. No reproach, just an invitation: the Drachmen Fest is no one-day wonder.

The Time Capsule – and a Promise

As every year, we're already looking ahead to the next one: the next Drachmen Fest is coming – in one year. We'll announce the date in good time. Until then we're building a time capsule together: we'll collect your sentences in the comments below and read them out loud at the next Drachmen Fest.
